Nopy’s Top 10 Anime Girls of 2013

Another year comes to a close and it is time again to list Nopy’s top 10 anime girls. This is the fourth year in a row that I’m making this post, so you guys should know the drill by now. Any girl in a series that aired this year and that I watched is eligible for my list. I try not to select girls that had a shot at the list in previous years. My criteria for selection is overall likability, meaning it could be anything from they look cool, have interesting personalities, make me laugh, or are just pure awesome. Here are my top 10 anime girls of 2013:

10. Ryuuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)

ryuuko

Ryuuko just barely made it onto the list with the help of the last few episodes of Kill la Kill. With only one transformation, she was starting to get boring, but now that we know she and senketsu can change into different forms, it makes her so much cooler (not to say she wasn’t already cool). Her guts and determination to avenge her father make the battles worth watching and who could ignore that outfit.

Nopy’s Top 10 Anime Girls of 2012

With the world having avoided another apocalypse, it is time again to reflect on some of the best anime of the past year. While most people do a list of their favourite anime series, many of you already know that I do something different: the top 10 anime girls of the year. My criteria for selecting the top 10 anime girls is based on looks, personality, and overall likability. Any anime girl who appeared in a series that aired this year qualifies, but in order to keep the list fresh from year to year, I tend not to include girls from sequels or long-running series.

Without further ado, here are my top 10 anime girls of 2012:

10. Shizuku Mizutani (Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun)

shizuku_mizutani

The heroine of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun seems boring and dull at first. She’s not the hottest girl in class and doesn’t really have any talents. The reason I like her and why she’s number 10 on the list is that she’s so down-to-Earth that it’s hilarious. Sometimes reason and logic don’t always lead to the best answer and Shizuku is a perfect example of this.

Nopy’s Top 10 Anime Girls of 2011

Last year I decided to rank my top 10 anime girls of 2010 and I am once again ranking the top 10 anime girls of the year, after all, it’s more interesting than the top 10 anime of the year. As before, any character appearing in anime that aired this year are qualified, and they are ranked by how much I liked them (which can factor in anything from cuteness to personality).

10. Inori Yuzuriha (Guilty Crown)

I’ve always liked pink-haired characters, and when I first saw Inori in Megami Magazine, I knew she’d be more than just looks. Not only can Inori sing, she knows how to use a pistol and can take out a pair of guards in a heartbeat.

Nopy’s Top 10 Anime Girls of 2010

It’s the end of the year and while everyone is ranking their favourite anime, I thought I’d do something different: rank my favourite girls. All of these girls appeared in anime that aired in 2010. The only thing that they have in common is that I liked them, so it can be due to anything from their cuteness factor to their personalities. So without further ado, here is my ranking of the top 10 anime girls of 2010:

10. Yukina Sonogi (Senkou no Night Raid)

Senkou no Night Raid wasn’t a very popular series, and I actually dropped it, but I still like the main female lead, Yukina Sonogi. She’s pretty, calm, collected, and she looks great in a chinese dress.
