Sayaka Miki is a character from the series Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This 1/8 scale figure of her from Good Smile Company was sculpted by Ken Kawanishi and was released in July 2012 at a MSRP of 7800 yen. I’m not a big fan of Sayaka, but I had to get this figure to complete my Puella Magi set.
Megami Magazine volume 151 (December 2012) features a lovely cover illustration of Goddess Madoka and “Prophet” Homura against a starry background. I have a soft spot for space shots and I love Madoka so I spent quite a bit of time just staring at the cover. I was expecting a Christmas theme for this volume as they usually do that, but there were no red santa hats this time. As usual, any posters that I think exceed a certain ecchi threshold can be viewed by clicking on the links.
It has been a while since I last write a figure review, but today we have Mami Tomoe, a character from the series Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This 1/8 scale figure of her from Good Smile Company was sculpted by Hironori Tokunaga and was released in May 2012 at a MSRP of 7800 yen.
The cover of Megami Magazine Vol. 146 (July 2012) features one of the more popular girls of the year, Kuroyukihime from Accel World. All of the series featured in this volume actually ended already so it’s a nice little flashback to what was airing during the summer.
As usual, anything over a certain ecchi level is contained in the text links.
Figure reviews have been lacking on my blog recently, and I think it’s about time to get cranking on this category once again. This review will cover Good Smile Company’s 1/8 scale Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The figure was sculpted by Ken Yokata and was released on March 21, 2012 for a MSRP of 7800円. I decided to try out a pure black background this time to see how pics would turn out; let me know what you think. Now on to the review.
Hello everyone, here is Megami Magazine volume 142 (March 2012), the last post I will be making on my blog…
until I write the GMAT of course. I am falling behind on my study schedule so I will be going into hermit mode for the next few weeks, but I will return by mid-April.
This volume once again features Idolmaster on the front cover, though the series is nowhere near as prominent as Nanoha. There were surprisingly fewer pin-up posters in this volume, which you can check out below. For newcomers, links to images are ecchi and may be assumed to be NSFW.
This 1/8 scale Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) figure was released by Good Smile Company back in January. I don’t think Madoka needs any introductions, but if this posts survives for 10 years and someone then is reading this, Madoka is a 14-year-old girl who becomes a magical girl in order to protect the world from beings called witches. Madoka was sculpted by Kohata Takahiro, stands about 19 cm tall, and retails for 7800 Yen.
Now that the new year is here, it’s time to present the January 2012 issue of Megami Magazine, or volume 140. There are a few winter and Christmas-themed posters in this one as you can probably guess from the snowflakes on the front cover, though not as many as you would think. As usual, text links to images are ecchi and/or NSFW, so click at your own discretion.
The cover for the December 2011 issue of Megami Magazine (volume 13) is one of the nicer looking ones with Sena and Yozora from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai against a fall background. Considering the level of quality seen in some episodes of the anime, I’m glad that illustrations don’t suffer from the same problem.
For the most part, the posters in this volume were average and mainly contained series from this season with a few from the upcoming season. Any images not shown directly on this page, but are linked are ecchi and NSFW.
This comes a few weeks late, but here is this month’s issue of Megami Magazine, volume 138. The magazine seems to have shifted away from Nanoha and friends and is now regularly featuring the girls from Idolmaster on their covers and in their posters. Volume 138 has a good mix of just about everything, so if you’re looking for variety, you may want to consider getting a copy. You can check out all of the posters included in this volume below. Remember that linked images are ecchi (a.k.a. NSFW).
