It’s a bit late, but here’s a look at volume 15 of Megami Magazine which features a lot of very nice art as expected, but with a bit more pantsu and mecha musume than usual.

They always seem to put the most colourful work on the inside cover of each volume.

I really like this artist’s work. The girl on the top left looks so cute and the flying mouse is so cool ^.^

An almost panty shot? If you take a closer look at this drawing and think about it, if that girl were standing up, her skirt probably wouldn’t be long enough to cover her undies.

This one really reminds me of Pleinair from Disgaea. I think it’s the combination of the light blue shoulder-length hair and white shirt.

I remember this girl was in a pin-up poster from an older volume of Megami Magazine. I actually still have the poster on my wall.

It’s not hard to guess what these two girls were up to all night. Just take a look at what the blonde girl is holding (notice the vibration lines).

Nekomimi are always welcome in my collection :)

Of course, pantsu are welcome too, especially shimapan (striped pantsu):

There was also a page full of mecha musume, which I really liked. Exelica is so cute ^.^

Now, I’ve heard of tentacle raep, but snakes? That’s completely new to me, I wonder if they’re poisonous.

Once again, as with the previous Megami Creators volumes, the back cover features more Fortune Arterial. I hope an english version of this game comes out in the future, all this hype over it is making me curious.

The extra this time came in the form of a small mecha-musume-themed calendar instead of a B2 size poster.

I really liked all of the mecha musume in the calendar, but considering I already have a few calendars, I would’ve preferred something else.

Besides the inside cover, and the Pleinair look-alike, I thought some of the works in this volume were a bit bland. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all very good pieces of art, but I just wish some of them used some more vibrant colours. Otherwise, I think this would make a nice addition to my Megami Magazine collection.

Megami Magazine Creators Vol. 14

So I’ve been really busy this month which is why I haven’t posted anything recently. I got my copy of Megami Magazine Creators Vol. 14 a few weeks ago. On the cover is a cute girl holding a bunny:

At first I thought she was a character from Shuffle, but then I realized that there were no girls that looked like her. She was actually drawn by the artist that designed all of the girls for Shuffle, Aoi Nishimata. Aoi is this edition’s featured artist, hence why her work is on the front cover.

On the first page we are greeted by a rather colourful image of what appears to be a girl wearing some fruit under the sea which is under a cake? I never really understood art, I just know it’s pretty. There’s a url for a site at the bottom left corner of the page that you can visit for more of these types of images.

The first section of the magazine is devoted to Aoi Nishimata and shows off some of the characters that she has designed.

I like this page because it has my two favourite characters from Shuffle, Kaede and Sia ^.^

I don’t know much (actually I don’t know anything) about any of the other artists in the magazine so I just picked out a few works that I thought were well done:

Extremely cute catgirl, I’m glad her tail is “censoring” this image though. The border services examined this magazine while it was being shipped to me and if there had been anything inappropriate showing, it would have been disposed of, luckily there wasn’t.

Some of you may recognize the following two images from the Girls Avenue section of previous Megami Magazines.

There were quite a few shimapan (striped pantsu) works in this issue. I picked out the two that I liked the best:

On the back cover of the magazine is some advertising for Fortune Arterial. I never got the point of those kinds of games, they’re mostly text so you don’t really get to do very much.

And of course, as always, the magazine came with a two-sided poster.

The first side has the girl on the cover drawn by Aoi Nishimata. I think it’s a fitting poster for this time of year when there’s still snow falling outside.

The other side of the poster has School Swim Suit Mecha Nurse Girl Nana by Eiji Komatsu. I don’t know much about her other than that she’s getting her own figure made by Orchid Seed soon.

I liked the artwork shown in this issue of Creators more than the previous one, but I guess it all depends on your personal preference. I really liked the girls from Shuffle, so it was nice to see some more characters made by the same artist.

Megami Magazine Creators Vol. 13

Like I said in my post about Megami Magazine Vol. 102, I also received Megami Magazine Creators Volume 13. I don’t know much about Creators other than it is released quarterly instead of monthly and contains artwork from individual artists.

The first thing you’ll notice about Creators is that although it’s called a magazine, it’s actually printed like a book. It’s perfect bound rather than stapled, and the pages are thicker than magazine paper.

Since Creators is perfect bound, it was hard keeping the pages open.

Unfortunately, there are no pull-out posters in Creators. You only get full colour pages like this one here and there.

I think that girl is sitting on a giant apple that’s wearing headphones. I never really understood the meaning of art.

The girl in the white dress is really nicely drawn.

A search of “Thor Code” on google turns up some information on determining the reaction path of active materials. :)

Looks like there’s some information on Mai Shiranui, too bad I can’t read it. Dunno what the deal is with the tentacle rape scene in the background.

When I saw this page, the first thing I thought was “pedobear”. I know this bear doesn’t look the same as the actual pedobear, but still, it’s a bear surrounded by a loli harem.

The back cover of Creators has Kiriha Kuze from the eroge Fortune Arterial on it.

Although Creators doesn’t have any posters for you to cut out, it does come with a large double-sided poster like the ones found in Megami Magazine.

On one side is the girl on the cover of Creators. I don’t know who she is, but she has cute little fox ears ^.^

I suspect she may be Haruka Nogizaka’s long lost sister. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

On the reverse side of the poster is Linebarrel and Vardant.

Since I only recently subscribed to Megami Magazine, I don’t know if I’ll be getting Creators every quarter or if this is a one-time thing. I guess I’ll just have to wait 3 months and see if I get another issue.
