As I promised, I would get all of the pics from my trip to Japan last June up before Christmas, so here is one humongous mega-post on my 4th and final week in Japan. This was by far my favourite week since we covered almost everything related to anime and visited some very cool places this week.
After waiting a month for my copy of Megami Magazine volume 103, I thought it would never arrive. Luckily, I was proven wrong and I finally received it a few days ago. A quick look at the package explains why it took so long to get here:
It looks like the CBSA decided to do a random inspection of my package to look for any illegal material. It’s good to know that those guys are doing their jobs and keeping bad things out of the country, but I wish it didn’t delay delivery by so much.
Anyways, on to the magazine: (more…)
I finally got my copy of Megami Magazine Volume 101 earlier this week. The packaging has “Do Not Bend” in big black letters so someone tried to bend it in half; I really hate people like that. One thing about Megami Magazine is that they have what look like fan-made manga inserted between some pages that only stick out halfway from the spine. I took pictures of all the posters this time, and here they are: (more…)
Last week I ordered Megami Magazine Vol. 100 before they were sold out and I finally got it in the mail today. Unfortunately, the magazine came in a thin cardboard envelope without any bubble wrap so the corners were dented a bit.
This is the first anime magazine I’ve ever bought, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about Megami Magazine and I certainly wasn’t disappointed with the content. There were a lot of posters that you can look at; I took some pics of my favourite ones: (more…)
I just found out about this plushie which is going to be released in September. For those Lucky Star fans who don’t know what this is, shame on you :P It’s the cat that always appears in the middle of Lucky Star episodes for commercial breaks. I took this image from www.animate-shop.jp which is selling it for 2500 yen (~$25). Unfortunately, I can’t read Japanese and I don’t think they ship overseas. So , if anyone knows where I can get one I’ll give you an e-cookie for the info ^.^
