It’s time for another volume of Megami Magazine. Volume 136 (September 2011) has the most extras that I have seen in a while, and rightly so considering it costs 990 yen rather than the usual price of 780 yen. The front cover features Kurisu and Mayuri from the anime and visual novel Steins;Gate, both sporting cute maid uniforms and nekomimi. I’ve noticed my Megami posts getting longer and longer, so I’m going to try cutting back this time by just introducing the characters and anime in each poster, followed by my overall thoughts at the end. I’ve had these pictures for months and Hinagiku for much longer, so I think it’s about time I finally wrote up a post. For those of you who don’t know, Hinagiku Katsura is a popular tsundere from the anime Hayate no Gotoku. She’s the student council president and excels at sports.

This nendoroid is my first from Max Factory. All of my other nendoroids have been from Good Smile Company or Phat, so it’s interesting to see what differences MF adds to the mix. Below are usual 360 shots.

It’s been nearly two weeks since I got this figure, but I just didn’t have any time to post it until now.

When I ordered this figure of Hinagiku, I didn’t realize that it was 1/6 scale instead of the usual 1/8 scale so I was suprised to find how tall it is. Measuring from the base to the top of Hinagiku’s head, the figure stands at about 25cm , which is much taller than the Nagi figure at 14cm.

My main reasons for getting this figure were:

1. Hinagiku is awesome.

2. I liked her pose.

 Well, here’s the second figure from my mini-spending spree on swimsuit figures: Nagi Sanzenin in a cute white bikini with yellow stars. I had a hard time getting Nagi out of her packaging because Kotobukiya decided to wrap her in this kind of sticky plastic film instead of just putting little plastic bags around her. This is a 1/6 scale figure, but since Nagi is kneeling, she isn’t very high (only about 13 cm). She does take quite a bit of surface area though, since her legs are stretched out.
