I just checked my email and found two emails from Otacute. The most recent one said my order had been cancelled. Wondering which of my orders it was refering to, I go back to my inbox and find an earlier email. This one said that there was a change in the reservation deadline and Otacute was not able to get the products in time. So what was this product that I ordered from Otacute, you ask?

That’s right, it’s Wave’s Aisaka Taiga China Dress figure. She’s an exclusive figure from dengikionline and preorders for her have been “out of stock” for months. This was the figure I was most looking forward to this year and now I’ll probably never get it. Words cannot describe how enraged I am right now. If I weren’t at work at this moment, I’d be smashing stuff to calm down.

Did anyone else order this figure through Otacute? Has your order been cancelled?

Since I’m feeling lazy, I’ve decided to cover all the figures I got during June in one post. Some of these were from my Japan trip while others were preorders that arrived while I was away. The ones from Japan are the Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Sanae, and Sumomo nendoroids. The Fate nendoroid, Bakemonogatari nendoroid petits, Seitokai no Ichizon figures, and Ruri were all waiting for me at home when I got back at the end of June. I could have picked up everything in Japan instead of preordering, but that wouldn’t have left very much room in my luggage. That’s why I decided to just get the Touhou nendoroids since they’re hard to find online. Sumomo was an impulse buy, so I had to find some room for her in my luggage, luckily everything just barely fit.

It’s been months since I’ve done a figure review, so before I do my posts about my Japan trip, I thought I’d cover the Nanoha nendoroid which I got back in May. Nanoha comes with the standard three faces, but rather than include extra limbs in different positions, GSC decided to just include another pair of hands. This doesn’t mean that she can’t make good poses though, because she also comes with two versions of Raising Heart and Yuuno in his ferret form. She also has two sets of wings that can be attached to her feet. As always, here are the shots of her regular pose from different angles:

Its been a while since my last nendoroid post, but they’re still the fastest growing part of my figure collection, I just haven’t gotten around to writing about them. Originally released in January 2010, this Luka Megurine nendoroid was hard to come by since she was sold out in most places. I managed to get my hands on one a couple months ago, and I was really excited to be able to add another Vocaloid to my collection.

Ein is the main female character from the anime Phantom -Requiem for the Phantom- which was based on the game Phantom of Inferno. She’s generally quiet and has a reserved personality due to being trained to be an assassin from a young age. If you’ve watched the anime, you’ll also notice that she shows absolutely no emotion at all; I guess that’s just something you need to do to be the best assassin in the world.

After over a year of waiting, I finally have the Alter versions of  Hayate, Fate, and now Nanoha from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. I know Alter has other StrikerS figures, but these three were the only ones I really cared about. They were also crazy expensive when you factor in shipping so I wouldn’t be able to afford the others anyway. Like Hayate and Fate, Nanoha also comes in a huge box. I managed to fit the first two boxes under my desk, but I have no clue where I’m going to put this third one.

Yay, my first figure post in over 3 weeks. Since my internship is over and I’m back in school, I no longer have a source of income. I’m also trying not to spend the money I already have because I’ll need it for my trip to Japan this summer. With that said, I probably won’t be getting many more figures between now and June except for the ones I’ve already preordered and perhaps a few irresistable ones like Tokido Saya. On the bright side though, I have 3 more figure reviews coming up after this one.

This is the last of the figures that I got in the 4 months that I was away: a nendoroid of Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai. I wasn’t expecting this figure to be particularly good, but I liked Kara no Kyoukai so I decided to get it anyways. You can see the shots that I took from the front, sides, and back.

I watched the first three episodes of Tears to Tiara and I can’t say that I liked it very much, but this nendoroid of Riannon was just too cute to pass up. As with most nendoroids, she’s manufactured by Good Smile Company, which is getting pretty good with their nendoroid designs.

Besides the nendoroid school life playsets, I had never bought anything else from Phat company, so this is my first figure from them. From Phat’s official website, their name stands for “Pretty hot and tempting,” and this is their 4th nendoroid release, making them a relatively new company to enter the figure market. It seems as though they are a part of or partners with Good Smile Company though, so their figures should be of good quality.

Raspberyl herself is from the PS3 game Disgaea 3. She’s the most delinquent demon in the netherworld, and in my opinion, the most adorable too. This is what she looks like straight out of the box:
