Another milestone has been reached today: Nopy’s Blog is now 3 years old. It’s hard to imagine that 3 years have already passed since the day I decided to start a blog on a whim. Not much has changed since my 2nd anniversary post; I’m still far from creating a mascot (though Ruri seems to work well), and it looks like I unintentionally took a week off from the Internet before making this post as well. If you’re wondering where I’ve been, I’ve basically been going to festivals and events during all of my free time. There’s a reason why Edmonton is the self-proclaimed “festival city”.
Since there isn’t much else to say in an anniversary post, here are a few updates:
Regular readers may have noticed a new Navigation page and Google +1 buttons at the bottom of posts. These are a part of what I call Operation Phoenix. After suffering from Google’s Panda Slap earlier this year, web traffic was decimated and went into a slow and steady decline for a few months. When weekly traffic hit a yearly low, I decided it was enough and took measures to revive the blog. My efforts seem to be working as I am now achieving some level of normalcy.
Animethon is once again taking place. I have spent the weekend so far at the convention and I will probably be there the rest of today as well (meaning I won’t be able to check the blogs I follow until afterwards). If anyone remembers seeing a guy wearing a Kyubey t-shirt and carrying a Canon camera, then congratulations, you’re one of the few people to have spotted a Nopy in the wild.
