A Change in Image Posting
Today I’d like to announce that there will be a change with regards to the images I post on my blog. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’ve decided to restrict some of the images shown in my posts (mostly in magazine posts). While my blog has never (and will never) have any hentai on it, there are some ecchi images and almost-hentai images here. When I refer to almost-hentai images, I’m talking about ones where the characters are undressed and the only thing separating it from adult material is the fact that the illustrator didn’t draw in some ”parts”. If someone were to take that image, draw in a few lines and add some pink colouring, they’d have instant hentai. I will no longer be including these types of images in my posts (including magazine posts).
As for ecchi content, almost every anime is ecchi in some way so a line has to be drawn somewhere. For now, I will not be including images that are just T&A and have little artistic merit or discussion value in my actual posts, but they will still be available for anyone wanting to take a look. All you have to do is take a look at the filenames. For example, if you are reading a post and notice that the images go from “http://nopybot.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/example-01.jpg” to “http://nopybot.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/example-03.jpg”, just put “example-02.jpg” in the url to see the ecchi image. I’m including these because this will most affect Megami and Nyantype posts, and I know some people like to see what’s in each volume before buying it. Regular images and fanservice (ie: swimsuits, panty shots, spilt liquids, etc.) will still be shown as usual.
I’m doing this somewhat on moral grounds, but also because some posts might give the impression that I blog about hentai. Something about knowing a bunch of guys are coming to my blog looking specifically for “health material” makes me a bit uneasy.

lol it is a bit odd they come to look for hentai. if they came to your site because they thinkt heres hentai.. wouldnt t here be hentai pictures right on the front? haha.. they have bad searching skills =3…
1I don’t really mind. Do whatever you want to do, and what you think’s best for your blog.
I review anime stuff on a blog (I’m just one of the writers) and on one of my artbook reviews, someone commented, “This is the fapping heaven.”
I was disturbed for days. So yeah, I completely understand why it would make you feel uneasy.
2@alucard13mm:
They must have bad searching skills indeed.
@Ari:
3Wow, I would not want to get a comment like that. I’m curious though, which blog do you write for?
I thought about this issue some time ago too. I guess I drew the line a little closer to ecchi. I write mostly for a high school, college, and older audience, and I think they can handle it. Of course, I think I get some people who come looking for “health materials,” but my naive hope is that they leave having read something interesting about the health material as well.
Btw. I don’t think your blog gives the impression that it’s a blog about hentai at all. It’s not all in the images; it’s also the writing. And your posts are never distasteful even if you did have ecchi images. ^ ^
Anyways, I think it’s wonderful though that people have both options here. No surprise nsfw when you click into a post.
4Still getting those weird search terms? I agree with Yi, haven’t found posts here that are distasteful or anything similar to that.
5Although I enjoy reading your blog very much, I don’t dare to visit your blog at work during my breaks because the advertisement sometimes shows the eroge products ^^;.
Otherwise, I think your blog content is just fine.
6@Yi:
I write for the same audience too, but you never know when someone younger might stumble in. While it probably doesn’t happen much, I don’t want to accidently expose them to the “adult” world.
@Xine:
The search terms have been shuffling around, but they’re still pretty much the same.
@flyzice:
7Oops, I forgot to change that ^.^”
I used to have some very NSFW ads, but now everything should be suitable for all audiences.
I think the NFSW is sufficient because it act as a warning to those who might find the photos offensive.
I like the way of the reviews are done because it helps me determine whether to buy this magazine or not depending on some of the shots.
Though I hope this change of policy doesn’t affect how you review your new goodies!
8and no, I don’t think your blog is hentai, I’ve seen hentai, this is not hentai XD
9@dreaming Artemis:
10I wanted to avoid using a NSFW tag because sometimes it’ll deter potential readers from checking out the post.
