Hinagiku Katsura Swimsuit Ver. by Kotobukiya
It’s been nearly two weeks since I got this figure, but I just didn’t have any time to post it until now.
When I ordered this figure of Hinagiku, I didn’t realize that it was 1/6 scale instead of the usual 1/8 scale so I was suprised to find how tall it is. Measuring from the base to the top of Hinagiku’s head, the figure stands at about 25cm , which is much taller than the Nagi figure at 14cm.
My main reasons for getting this figure were:
1. Hinagiku is awesome.
2. I liked her pose.
From the side you can see that Hinagiku is just slightly more developed than Nagi :)
I think a bit more work could have been done on the hair. It looks OK when you view it from the front, but when you look at the back, it looks really plain because of the lack of detail.
Another side shot. Hinagiku looks a bit weird from this angle since she’s leaning to one side. It’s as if her legs are twice as long as her body.
The one thing that I really didn’t like about this figure was how Hinagiku’s right hand was sculpted. If her hand was painted black, I swear it would look like a spider. I know it was probably easier to sculpt the hand so the fingers weren’t touching the body, but it just makes them seem really long and thin (just like a spider’s legs). I think a better position would have been to have her hand in a relaxed fist with the back of her hand on her hip.
Despite the lack of detail in her hair and the weird looking hand, I still think this was a decent figure; Hinagiku’s legs and body were nicely done and the pink bikini suits her well. This is certainly better than the other Hinagiku figure out right now by Jun Planning.

I’d never noticed that her hand wasn’t actually touching her hip. That is a bit disappointing in someways. I didn’t realize she was so tall either at 25cm in height.
I agree with your points, I wish the figure was more detailed overall, I’d likely have to purchase her. An additional complaint though from me, I wish she had some more breasts. Just a touch more maybe. But overall she’s in an appealing pose.
