So out of all the new anime out already, I’ve seen Toradora, Clannad After Story, Hyakko, Kannagi, Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka, Hoshi no Umi no Amuri, Casshern Sins, and Kemeko Deluxe. I already decided I was going to watch Toradora and Clannad so I was looking for a third anime to pick up and decided on Kemeko Deluxe. As I’m writing this, there aren’t any subs out for it so I watched it raw, but it was pretty good.

The anime starts out with the main character (san peta?) waking up from a dream about the past (10 years ago to be exact) where he makes a promise with some pink haired girl (like fateful encounters, childhood promises happen way too much in anime). Then a spaceship crashes through the celing. Shortly after, a short chubby green haired girl in a wedding dress and a bunch of robots come crashing through the window into his room and bullets go flying. Well, the green haired girl blasts all the robots to pieces and tells the main character that she’s his bride, but he just runs away and heads to school, freaked out at whats happened. (more…)

The first episode of Toradora aired this week, and I have to say it was pretty good. The plot revolves around a high school student named Ryuji, who just happens to have a really scary face. Because Ryuji’s face is so scary-looking, everyone’s intimidated by him, and these two guys even offer him their wallets for bumping into him (I wish random people gave me their wallets). Of course, Ryuji’s actually a pretty nice guy and they show this in the anime when he takes the wallets he got to the lost and found. (more…)

It’s almost midnight on a thursday, and I think I finally appreciate how much screen and desk space I have. In the 2 weeks I have 2 reports, 2 assignments, and 65 sketches due, as well as 2 midterms and a speech I need to do. Right now I’m working on one of the reports and things are going to much faster than last year. The main reason is because now I have a 24″ monitor in addition to my 19″ and I also have a laptop now. Having my report on 1 monitor, reference material on the other, and notes on my laptop makes looking up information and writing my report at the same time so much easier. Having such a large desk also helps as I can also check some printed notes or books ^.^

So if any of you find schoolwork or work to be too time comsuming, I suggest getting another monitor and a larger desk. So much work gets done much faster (unless you have anime playing on one of the monitors).

I got my Melissa Nendoroid on Monday, but I didn’t get around to taking pictures until today.

I was actually quite impressed with this figure. The only other nendoroids I have are Light, L, and Misa from Death Note and they aren’t as detailed as Melissa. It also looks like Good Smile Company has improved their nendoroids since the Death Note ones. If any of you have some of the first nendoroids made, you’ll know that they fall over a LOT and the stand doesn’t help. Melissa’s head is actually lighter than my other nendoroids and her stands actually hold her up. The first stand has two holes for her legs and basically holds up the pumpkin. (more…)
