Clannad After Story 2009 Calendar
So yesterday I received a huge box from Japan, but I put off opening it until really late because I had a test the next day. Well, I was curious to see what was inside because I didn’t remember ordering anything that big, so I opened it before going to bed and found a whole bunch of packing paper…
Needless to say, I was a bit confused, so I emptied the box and found this at the bottom:
Now I had ordered this Clannad After Story calendar, but I had expected it to come in a regular package used for things like documents, not an actual box. I guess that’s why the shipping cost was so high, I got sent a bunch of air and paper from Japan. (more…)
Dengeki G’s Festival! Anime Vol. 2
After getting swamped with work, I finally got a chance to take a look at what’s actually inside this volume of Dengeki G’s Festival! Anime. (more…)
Haruka Oppai Mousepad
I’ve been so busy with exams and finishing reports recently that I was surprised to find a package waiting for me at home today. When I opened it I found volume 2 of Dengeki G’s Festival! Anime, along with the goodies that come with it ^.^
The box on the left is where all the goodies are, and on the right is the actual magazine. (more…)
Miku Hatsune Nendoroid
Four months after I placed my order, I went to the post office yesterday to finally get my Miku Hatsune nendoroid.
I missed the first release of this figure, so when I found out that there was a second batch coming, I pre-ordered right away, hence the long wait. (more…)
Megami Magazine Creators Vol. 13
Like I said in my post about Megami Magazine Vol. 102, I also received Megami Magazine Creators Volume 13. I don’t know much about Creators other than it is released quarterly instead of monthly and contains artwork from individual artists.
The first thing you’ll notice about Creators is that although it’s called a magazine, it’s actually printed like a book. It’s perfect bound rather than stapled, and the pages are thicker than magazine paper. (more…)
Megami Magazine Vol. 102
After two weeks of waiting, my copy of Megami Magazine volume 102 arrived in the mail this morning. When I opened the packaging, I was surprised to find that not only did it not get damaged during shipping, but it also came with a copy of Megami Creators (a separate magazine by the same people, featuring artwork from various artists).
When I opened the bundle, two things also fell out: a JAST USA catalog, and a JAST trading card, lots of goodies this time :) (more…)
Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is October 13, 2008 and that means that it’s Thanksgiving Day in Canada. I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and I hope everyone has a Thanksgiving dinner that at least looks better than Marisa’s broth. I thought this pic was appropriate for today’s post since there is food (I’m sure some people eat octopus and fish together) and there’s a jack-o-lantern (since halloween is just around the corner).
Note: I dunno who made this pic, but Marisa is from the Touhou games.
Chaos;Head ep 1
I’ve been writing quite a bit about anime lately, but there’s just so many good series airing this season. I watched Chaos Head last night and it could potentially be one of the best anime this year. According to wikipedia, Chaos Head was originally a PC game that they made into an anime. Here’s the plotline from wikipedia: (more…)
Macademi Wasshoi ep. 1

This week has been one of the most hectic I’ve had in a while so I had a lot of anime to catch up on. I managed to watch some more new anime today, one of which was Macademi Wasshoi. For a basic idea of what the show’s about, here’s the plot summary from animenewsnetwork:
Magician’s Academy revolves around Takuto Hasegawa, who attends a magic academy that is not marked on any map. During a summoning spell exam, he accidentally creates a girl named Tanarot, who happends to hold enough magical power to destroy his country, but fortunately Tanarot professes undying loyalty to her “creator.”
The first thing I liked about this anime was the character designs. Everyone is just so cute, especially Suzuho, Takuto’s mute cousin who just so happens to have a crush on him. You also find out later in the episode that she can transform into the “Midnight Blue Vampire” which makes her even cooler. (more…)
